For our next podcast recording, I would like the topic to be on Biblical Boundaries.
Boundaries were present from the very beginning in the Garden of Eden. God set boundaries for His children. We have boundaries as Christians. Jesus also set boundaries in His interactions with people.
I think this is a very important topic especially for healthcare professionals. I wish I had known how to set and keep boundaries when I was a pharmacist. I'm not perfect at it but I've gotten a lot better over the last few years.
Let me know what you think!
Since our last episode was about obedience, we can transition to the next episode by remembering 1 Samuel 15:22, "To obey is better than sacrifice". Sometimes our pride gets in the way, and we think we're being obedient and sacrificing so much for everyone. But, is that what God has called us to do?
Have we forgotten the one person to whom we are ultimately responsible: God?
Boundaries have been present since the beginning of the Bible. God set a boundary for Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, telling them they could eat anything except the fruit of one tree.
Jesus had boundaries and He didn't meet every demand (Mark 1:32, 35-38). He understood His assignment from His Father.
One of the hardest things for me when I was a pharmacist was setting and keeping boundaries. Protecting my time and energy. I suffered as a result and I know other healthcare professionals are suffering too.
Looking forward to recording the next episode!
